About

The Editor

Oteka Dispatch is an independent editorial publication observing everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. The editors who work here do so out of genuine curiosity about how men in Indonesia and Southeast Asia are building deliberate daily wellness routines.

Founding Editor

Marcus Webb

Marcus Webb launched Oteka Dispatch in early 2026 with a single editorial brief: to observe and document the everyday supplement stacking habits of active men in Indonesia with the same rigour that specialist publications apply to technical wellness topics, but with the accessibility and voice of an independent editorial magazine.

Prior to founding the Dispatch, Marcus spent eight years contributing to independent wellness and lifestyle publications across Singapore and Jakarta — initially as a features writer, then as a deputy editor for a now-discontinued Singapore-based men's health title. His editorial perspective is shaped by a consistent scepticism of aspirational supplement marketing and a corresponding respect for the published nutritional research that his readership is increasingly capable of engaging with directly.

The decision to base the Dispatch in Jakarta rather than Singapore was deliberate. Indonesia's active men's supplement market is among the most dynamic in Southeast Asia — the combination of rapid growth in gym culture, a young and digitally engaged demographic, and a supplement product landscape that is still maturing creates an editorial environment that Marcus regards as genuinely interesting. The records of everyday supplement stacking habits in this environment are, in his editorial view, more instructive than those of more established markets precisely because they are less mediated by entrenched product preferences.

Marcus holds a background in science communication and is a regular reader of primary nutritional research literature. He brings this context to his editorial work without converting the Dispatch into a specialist publication — the publication's voice remains that of an informed observer writing for readers who are intelligent and curious, not readers who require academic scaffolding.

Reza Pratama — Contributing Editor

Contributing Editor

Reza Pratama

Reza Pratama joined Oteka Dispatch as a contributing editor at launch. A Jakarta native, Reza has been part of the city's active lifestyle and gym community for over a decade — a background that gives his editorial work an insider's familiarity with the supplement habits and nutritional routines he writes about.

His editorial focus at the Dispatch centres on recovery nutrition, post-activity nutritional awareness, and the specific supplement stacking habits emerging from Indonesia's growing endurance and resistance training communities. He is the Dispatch's primary voice on omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, immune-focused supplementation, and the intersection of dietary patterns with supplement stack design.

Before joining the Dispatch, Reza worked as a contributor to several Indonesian wellness and fitness media platforms, primarily in the Bahasa Indonesia digital editorial space. His work at the Dispatch represents his first sustained editorial commitment in the English-language nutritional awareness space, and he brings to it a perspective shaped by direct observation of Indonesia's supplement culture from the inside — as a practitioner and community member, not only as a writer.

Reza is also the Dispatch's primary reviewer for supplement product-adjacent content, ensuring that the publication's editorial independence from the supplement industry is maintained across all published material.

Editorial Mission

Why We Write About This

The Dispatch exists because there is a gap in the editorial landscape for men's nutritional awareness in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The existing media in this space tends toward one of two extremes: specialist documentation written for professionals, or aspirational product-adjacent content written primarily to drive supplement sales. Neither serves the intelligent active man who is doing his own research, building his own routine, and looking for editorial perspective rather than instructions.

Oteka Dispatch occupies the space between these extremes. The publication observes. It contextualises. It reports what is found in the supplement stacking habits of active men and holds those findings against what the published nutritional research records. It does not tell its readers what to take. It tells them what others like them are taking, and why, and what the published evidence says about those choices.

The editorial independence of the Dispatch is non-negotiable. No supplement brand advertising, no affiliate relationships, no sponsored content. The publication is funded by its readership, which is the only funding model consistent with the editorial voice it has chosen.

Principles

How We Work

01

Observation First

Every article in the Dispatch begins from documented observation of actual supplement habits. We do not construct ideal protocols and then write about them. We find what is happening and report it accurately.

02

Research-Anchored

Observed patterns are always contextualised against published nutritional research. The Dispatch does not publish claims that lack a basis in peer-reviewed literature. Where published evidence is limited, we say so.

03

Commercially Independent

No supplement brand advertising. No affiliate links. No sponsored content. The Dispatch's editorial voice is contingent on its commercial independence, and that independence is protected at every level of the publication.
